ACM-W India pleased to announce the launch of the Lady Ada National Level Programming Contest for Women. This coding contest will act as a platform to develop and showcase coding talent which will empower girl techies across India.
ACM-W creates a portal of opportunities for girls to explore, enhance and expand their coding skills. This coding contest happens in three levels with the first two rounds online and the last round at OGI, Bhopal(Depends on Covid Guidelines). Girl students are encouraged to participate in this flagship coding event of ACM-W India
Eligibility: Any girl student enrolled under Bachelor’s or Master’s program under the faculties of Science, Engineering and Management.

• A dedicated space will be provided to all chapters on ACM student chapters portal. Chapters have tomaintain that space with most updated details and also give the link of their website on that space.
• Best website award will be given away to that chapter which maintains its website with originalcontent and some thought provoking ideas and record of activities promoting the spirit of ACM.
• Chapters will be asked to feed in the details of the activities conducted by them on a regular basis on a dedicated space on web domain - https://acmindia-studentchapters.in/
• At the end of the calendar year, chapters will be sent across the details of all the activities through an automated process and asked to tick mark their top 4 activities on the basis of which they will be judged.
At the time of feeding in the details of the activity in the portal, chapters will be asked to choose a category like – Technical, Non technical or community service related etc.
If they choose a community related activity, then they will be asked to upload a certificate from the community partner or sponsoring agency etc. along with a picture of the conduct of the event. Besides that following questions will also be part of the questionnaire at the time of feeding in the details of a community related activity –
• Have they collaborated with any other society (like IEEE,CSI etc) or was it only ACM activity?
• Was any funding received from College management, NGOs, Other Social bodies Sponsors forthis activity?
Only applicable for those chapters who have a certain minimum no. of members already. Chapters will be asked to feed in the count of their members in the beginning of the Calendar Year (CY) and then toward the end.
• Between 10 to 20 members, minimum expected growth is 150%
• With 20 to 40 members already, minimum expected growth is 100%
• With 41 to 60 members, minimum expected growth is 75%
• More than 60 to 100 members, minimum expected growth is 50%
• More than 100 members, minimum expected growth is 10%
Chapter should have been established after 1st January 2023. Should have minimum 10 ACM students members.
Should be able to showcase the potential of a promising chapter by conduct of activities of significance broadly covering all the above-mentioned parameters.

Outstanding chapter will be decided on the basis of –
• No. of Technical Activities (Level, variety, frequency, mode – shared or fully owned - of technicalactivities) | Reporting on ACM India social media channels, Community Services (other thanthose usually conducted technical activities) - 250 points
• Website - Operational, content variety, services offered - 75 points
• Growth in Membership (Current strength, past trends if any) - 75 points
• Evaluator’s discretion - 100 Points

ACM-India announces the 14th annual COMPUTE conference at University of Delhi, Delhi, India from November 18 - 20, 2021. Since 2018, ACM-India has decided to focus the theme of COMPUTE towards improving the quality of computing education in the country. This is the Fourth year of this thematic symposium. COMPUTE 2021 is being held under the aegis of the iSIGCSE (Special Interest Group on CS Education) of ACM India. This year Conference will be in Virtual mode - https://event.india.acm.org/Compute/
We are glad to offer one free registration for each student chapter. Please note the following regarding the nomination:
1. This conference is for Faculty members and not for students
2. HOD of the institute should nominate one faculty member from the institute to attend the conference
3. HOD ensures that the nominated faculty will sincerely attend the conference
